Guidelines
Club competitions are open to subscribed members only.
Digital
Digital images should be saved in JPEG format ONLY with 1400px maximum on the longest side; the DPI setting is unimportant. Digital manipulation is allowed unless otherwise stated. Please name your files with the title, member number and letter from a-e, e.g. Oban_Sunset_99b.jpg.
Prints
Mounted Prints: minimum size 7” x 5” (18cm x 16cm); maximum mount size 20” x 16”.
Prints from both digital & film are accepted. Prints must be mounted; please ensure no poorly adhered tape on the back of the print (it may stick to print below in transit). Title & membership number on the back left hand corner.
Slides
Slides should be spotted at the bottom left hand corner as viewed; title to be readable when slide is in projector (spot is then in top right hand corner). Ensure label is properly adhered , or mark with indelible pen. No glass mounts.

- The subject for the Argyll Trophy is “Argyll Weather”
Titles for Season 2010/2011
- Open – anything goes. From Landscapes, Buildings Still Life, Sports Pets. to Portraits and Beyond.
- Looking Up – Tall Buildings, Trees, Hills, Air Shows, People/Animals looking skyward, the sky’s the limit.
- Landscape/Seascape – Living in Argyll it’s not too difficult.
- Simply Blue – (like Simply Red but blue) – sea, sky, cars, ships, flowers, glass, reflections, make-up, ice, a B/W image with a blue tone, or even a Smurf (as they don’t do blue Wombles!)
- Open – anything goes. From Landscapes, Buildings Still Life, Sports Pets. to Portraits and Beyond.
- Most Commercially Viable Image: Transport
- Argyll Cup Castles in Argyll (Where do you start?)
- Subtle Humour Make us laugh!!!
